- 1 GW solar project that may be built in two phases.
- Capable of safely supplying enough renewable electricity per year to power 600,000 homes.
- The planned project site is to be built about 4 miles west of Burlington, Kansas, It is expected to sit on approximately 8,500 acres (actual acreage covered by panels is anticipated to be smaller).
- $1 billion privately funded infrastructure improvement.
- The project will use panels that tilt to follow the sun, ensuring the project is generating the maximum amount of energy each day.
- Operation is quiet with no pollution and infrequent site activity once built.
- The site will be surrounded by a wildlife-friendly perimeter fence and tree buffers to reduce visual impacts associated with the project, in accordance with all local, state, and federal laws and regulations.
